| Bulldogs Name New Managing Partner Press Release Tuesday, July 23rd, 2002 The Hamilton Bulldogs LP (limited partnership) is pleased to announce the appointment of Neil Jamieson as Managing Partner. "My primary role as managing partner is to consolidate the contributions of the ownership group and turn that into one plan, which will allow management to maximize the potential of those contributions," said Jamieson. "From an ownership perspective I will also oversee the creation and implementation of a long-term organizational structure." Mr. Jamieson is a principal of SCOCAN RSA Management Inc., a private investment firm that brings strategic planning and business development capability to emerging businesses. He earned an MBA from McMaster University in 1984 and enjoyed a successful career in financial services before establishing SCOCAN in 1997. "I'm extremely enthusiastic about working with this ownership group, the staff, the fans, the community and the two NHL partners (Montreal Canadiens and Edmonton Oilers)," said Jamieson. "Neil's vast experience in strategic planning, investing and strong inter-personal skills will provide owners with the capability to interact with management," stated Tony Battaglia, Chairman of the Hamilton Bulldogs LP. "As well, he will ensure the ultimate success and long-term stability of the franchise for the fans in years to come." |

| Cary Kaplan Leaves Bulldogs Press Release Monday, July 22nd, 2002 The Hamilton Bulldogs LP (limited partnership) regret to announce that team President, Cary Kaplan, is leaving the team. Kaplan, the very first employee of the Bulldogs organization, joined the franchise in 1996 as Director of Marketing. In 1999, Mr. Kaplan received the Ken McKenzie award as the marketing executive of the year in the American Hockey League. That same year, Kaplan became the Bulldogs Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. In 2000, he was named President of the Hamilton Bulldogs. "The Bulldogs are moving in a new direction, with a new organization structure," said Kaplan. "I've accomplished my goals. It would not have been possible without the tremendous support of my staff and Hamilton hockey fans. I'm confident they will enjoy AHL hockey in Hamilton for years to come. It's time for me to move on to other challenges." "Hockey in Hamilton owes a lot to Cary Kaplan," said Tony Battaglia, Chairman of the Hamilton Bulldogs LP. "Last year, when the team's future in Hamilton looked bleak, Cary organized the 'Stay Dogs Stay' Campaign. His efforts resulted in over a thousand new seasons tickets being sold, and a new lease with the city. Without Cary's efforts, the team may have folded last year." Battaglia added, "Cary initiated the process that brought the current, local ownership group together. He was instrumental in bringing the Montreal Canadiens and the Edmonton Oilers to the table. As a result, our ownership group was able to secure the Canadiens' AHL franchise." * * * * * *The Hamilton Bulldogs LP will make a related announcement in the Hamilton Room at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton - TOMORROW - Tuesday, July 23rd at 11:00 a.m. All media, fans and sponsors are invited to attend, as there will be food and refreshments made available.
