BATTLE IN THE FIELDS OF ANGORA ON WEISS IV INCoNCLUSIVE !!

After the successful destruction of the Ork supply dump and the arrival of another company of Space Wolves a major drive was conducted to cleanse the filth of the greenskins all together from Weiss IV.

The Space Wolves aided by the Adeptus Sororitas met the Ork Horde with a Dark Eldar raiding force and alarmingly Slaanesh Chaos Marines. Again accurate fire from Wolves Whirlwinds crippled the Ork artillery early on and rained destruction on the horde. The Orks were slowly pushed back it appeared that they would wipe them out. However the Orks rallied and Dark Eldar raiders dropped from orbit and destroyed the Wolves Long Fang Squad and Whirlwinds. Though the Orks did not push the Wolves from the field neither could the wolves do the same to the Orks.

The battle for Weiss IV has the makings of a long campaign. Communiqes from sector command have asked for reinforcements from Space Marine Chapters near the sector. Massive build up from across the border reveal Ork reinforcements enroute to the planet.

The battle for Weiss IV has been going for several months now. Though the Imperium would win several skirmishes -a decisive victory to finally win against the Orks eludes them.

ORKS RAID CARPINA
- Ultramarines Fall Back

The conflagration on Weiss IV has spread to other systems. The Agri-World of Carpina was attacked by Warboss Jamburna's boyz while Warboss Lou led the attack on Weiss ( Intelligence reports would confirm that after this battle he led the Orks in the final moments of combat on Weiss IV ). The Ultramarines forward position was hit by Orks on trukks and overwhelmed by sheer weight of numbers. Though reinforcements was sent, including Squad Callidus of the 1st company, it was not enough. The Marines have fallen back to their outpost near the only sizeable town in Carpina to defend it.

Other Engagements

Thought the events on Weiss IV have been subject to much scrutiny, other actions have occurred on the eastern front against Chaos Forces.

ULTRAMARINES SUCCESSFULLY DEFEND BASE ON LEIBER III. ABLE TO HUNT DOWN ESCAPING CHAOS MARINES.

An Ultramarine outpost on the planet Leiber III was assaulted by a group of Chaos Marines devoted to Khorne. Surprise was total as the bloodthirsty Marines advanced into the Marines forward positions, smashing them aside. However the superior training of the Ultramarines prevailed as they were able to call in supporting units and drive off the Chaos forces, despite the appearance of one of the greater demons that attacked them.

The commander of the detachment, Commander Mangelus led a force to hunt down the remaining chaos units. They were finally able to trap them in a valley. Though a few units escaped, the Marines were able to bring down the Khorne Land Raider and there Warlord even though a Greater Demon of Khorne once again emerged to aid the Chaos scum.

ULTRAMARINES STOP
SLAANESH MARINES !!

Though the Ultramarines were still recovering from there wounds after defeating the Khorne Marines, yet another force of Chaos Marines, this time serving Slaanesh, attacked. Both sides attempted to clear the field of the enemy on the airless moon. Led by the Demon Prince Patrick, the slaanesh forces poorly positioned themselves in the battle. In the end the superior training of the Ultramarines prevailed. May the blessing of the emperor continue to shine on them.

CHAOS MARINES SEEN FIGHTING OVER SPOILS

Though the Ultramarines fought with tenacity and skill, there were too many planets to cover on the eastern border. The town on Richer on the planet Raven's sky was assaulted by a combined force of Chaos Marines. Horrified survivors claimed that after the planetary auxilla were wiped out, they began to attack each other.

Several battles were fought. At first the Khorne Berzerkers were swept off the field in the first engagement between the two chaos armies. It was apparent that they haven't had enough and went back in with more troops. In the ensuing melee, both sides showed a high desire to get into close combat. In the end though, the shout of "Blood for the Blood God !!" was heard across the battlefield.

Who knows what fate the rest of the inhabitants will suffer? There are clamors that it is better to perform Exterminatus to the planet as to alleviate the suffering the people shall suffer but cooler heads prevailed.
