Major Engagement on Weiss IV !!

After months of buildup between the Ork and Imperial forces, the battle lines have been drawn across the Samite plains.

Two great companies of Space Wolves led by the Venerable Dreadnought Jongko plus elements of Sisters and additional Space marine squads faced of against the Ork Horde of JAMBurna and Warboss Lou with a Chaos Warband and Dark Eldar raiding force acting in support.

The engagement was to sieze objectives all over the front lines to obtain a better strategic position. Initial Barrages by Space Wolf Whirlwinds, disrupted the enemy forces for squads to seize an Ork structure. But massive Ork reinforcements soon arrived, wiping out the squads.

An attempt to silence the Whirlwinds was done with Chaos Terminators warping in behind, but there efforts were minimal and were silenced by the Long Fangs and a Venerable Dreadnought.

On the left flank of the Imperial line, Chaos forces had initially seized the Imperial bunker. However a full volley of Bolters, Autocannons, Missile, Heavy Bolters and Plasma Cannons left only their smoldering boots. The imperials then quietly occupied the objective.

It was the central objective, a ruined building that would see the most action. A Space Wolf force was able to reach it after there Land Raider got blown and hunkered down. They had to fight of against waves of crazed Berzerkers, Ork boys, and Killer Kans. An Archon and its bodyguard was stalking their way towards the Wolves but did not reach the lines before the battle wounded down.

Losses were high on the Imperials but they held. A major offensive is now being planned to expel the Orks from Weiss altogether.

OTHER BATTLES ON THE SOUTHERN FRONT

ORKS AGAINST CHAOS

Other Orc Warbands fought against Imperial Garrisons all over the Southern Rim of planets in Corriba but most of it was replused by the Steel legions of the Imperial Guard.

Not all actions were against the Imperium. A fight against Ork forces and an undetected Chaos Warband was fought near the scientific outpost on Janus III. Both had intended to raid the outpost but the Orks veered in when they saw the Chaos force. The trukks tore into the Chaos band disgorging there crew of crazed Orks. Nothing was left of the warband afterwards. The fighting allowed the scientists to evacuate the facility, as both forces were intent on tearing each other apart.
