How did the story of Monstrous start?

As for the origins of 'Monstrous', it grew from an idea to write a tribute to Emily's real-life posting to a tall ship as sailing master (she goes in March for 6 months training) re us fangirls winding up in the HH universe. One thing led to another and 'Monstrous' was born - the name apparently being derived from a comment John Knox made about Mary Queen of Scots and Elizabeth 1. Well, we outgrew our home on HHFic so you kindly obliged by setting up the Monstrous 74 yahoo group wherein our story role play ideas are flourishing which led to the creation of your own additional Monstrous genre fic site for even more stories...
