| "God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change. And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride." Psalm 46: 1-3. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Monday - October 15, 2001 As these fears of anthrax and other terrorist attacks keeps getting news coverage a verse keeps coming into my mind. Psalm 46:1 is really is my statement. God is my refuge and strength. I guess why I like this verse is because it starts off with who the source of protection and power comes from; it comes from 'God'. Not myself, (especially my physical strength), not my financial wealth, my job, my citizenship or any other things. But from God alone. The One who created the universe, who created all things, who provides all things. If He is able to do those things he can most surely protect us. Have this confidence in God for God is good all the time! |

| We drift toward compromise and call it tolerance. We drift toward disobedience and call it freedom. We cherish the indiscipline of lost self-control and call it relaxation. We slouch toward prayerlessness and delude ourslves into thinking we have escaped legalism. We Slide toward godlessness and convice ourselves we have been liberated. |
