Backgrounds of the Junkers Logo
The Junkers Trademark sign was developed in 1925 by F.P. Droemmer.
The Logo represents a styled flying man within a triangle.
Both arms are spreaded to the top left and right corner of the triangle while the man's body comes out of the lower corner.
The man's head is styled by a rectangle.

Junkers Architecture
and Junkers Facilities
In 1925 Hugo Junkers got into contact with Walter Gropius, who was a famous German architect, best known for the
Bauhaus style. Hugo Junkers was influenced by Gropius and started architectural activities. Of course Junkers merged
his metal experiences with the question of building construction. In 1930 Junkers developed the idea of a steel metal construction
as a basic frame for larger buildings. Some of these ideas were later introduced at the
Junkers Verwaltungsgebaeude in Dessau, which became the Junkers Head Office in 1934.
If you are interested in more former Junkers buildings and facilities, go to the
Bernburg Facility History Page with a time table of the Bernburg facilities. Here you will also find some infos about a
exhibition at Bernburg about the Junkers Facilties and the research work of this group.
Some further infos about Junkers facilities during WWII might be found at AK Buchenwald
site, which offers information about the KZ locations at major German industrial areas.

Searches for the Junkers Library
Junkers Flugzeug und Motorenwerke AG kept a massive development and studying library in 1945.
This Library was captured by U.S. troops in April 1945, when they occupied Dessau.
Most of the library and the studying workshops at IFM were confiscated by the U.S. troops
and ferried probably to the USA in 1945. While some parts of this library were rediscovered
and transfered to the Deutsches Museum at Munich, most parts are still left today.
A Dessau Research Group is currently engaged in recovering this missing part of the Junkers library.
