Goal
To provide the sim community with an active and fun competition atmosphere
focused on the hunter/jumper discipline of english riding. We hope to create a place
where sim horses can earn points and prestige. We strive to take a realistic approach to
this discipline and base it on the real life A-circuit hunter/jumper scene, working within the
confines of the sim. Right now this site is pretty simple but I wanted to get it up and goin
so if you have any suggestions at any time please feel free to send comments to [email protected].
The Rules
1. You must join SHJA and recieve a member number before you can participate in any
events or shows. You must have this number with every entry.
2. Once you have a member number you do not have to register horses. However,
if you wish to have their points tabulated for season-end awards, high point champ and
other standings you must register the horse. If you want to register a horse
you must have a SIM barn with a URL and a picture for the horse. We will accept solely
that horses page and not a main barn page if you like. Only registered horses recieve
banners (hence the need for photos).
3. DO NOT register or show horses that have no H/J experience. You may show
horses under 3yrs of age with no H/J experience in the appropriate green divisions.
For example, you cannot show or register a five year old racehorse that has never
show in a hunter/jumper competition. You may however show and register a 2 year
old racehorse that is transfering disciplines in a green hunter or jumper division.
4. We will not approve your horse if they do not qualify for this type of competition.
For example we will not register a saddleseat type horse, a miniature horse or a
Fresian horse. Im sorry folks but its just not realistic. We do accept pony hunters and jumpers!
5. ASHJ follows a specific class list and point system. View that HERE
6. Once you submit a join form or register a horse, please allow two days for processing.
Type 'maggie' in the password field of the join form to prove that you have read these rules.
7. You cannot register more than 5 horses, you may however show as many horses as you
like without registering them. Only 5 of your horses can be in the running for high point,
season-end standings etc.
8. Often we will have exclusive shows for registered horses. ONLY registered horses can
enter these shows. Similarly we will have special events and contests for members
that have registered horses. Any member that does not have a horse registered with
us will not be allowed to enter.
9. All results are done randomly using organizer.org and results should be up within a week
after the entries are closed. Please be patient with me folks, I work part-time and I am a
full-time student. I will try my best to be prompt. If youd like to help please let me know at [email protected]
10. Please follow all rules on all other SHJA pages and keep your eyes peeled for updates
as we may be changing things a bit once we get underway. Have fun!
