The Gokstad Viking ship

900 A.D. Only the wooden verge poles from the Gokstad are intact enough to display. The ends of the poles have ornately carved horse heads as terminals. The frame itself consisted of two triangles connected by three poles making the triangular prism or wedge. “The Gokstad ship had one tent and six beds.” Viking Ship Museum, Oslo, Norway.
