“Figure 21. Miniature of genre character picturing the life of desert nomads in the style favoured by several masters of the Safavid School in Tabriz: the interest in nature and the unaffected and directly observed rendering of people and animals is reminiscent of the work of Mir Sayyid Ali (c.f. Kühnel, op cit., Plates 908 A, B, 909 A, B, etc.). the artist may be either this painter or one of his contempories from Tabriz, about the middle of the 16th century.” Kubicková, V., Persian Miniatures, London, 1965, Fig 21.
