1450 - 1490 A.D. Two pavilions and one bell tent. The white pavilion in the foreground has a decorated roof and roof edge with a pennon flying from the visible apex, there is a dark coloured band around the middle of the tent, and three point guy rope attachment. 

The bell tent and pavilion closer to the city’s gate are much darker in shade, bother with roof line decoration in a lighter shade.

Four bell tents (two red, one white and one blue). Red; red with gold decoration on roof and walls, ball, flag and flag pole with swirling hair like tresses dropping from apex of tent. Three point guy rope attachment and green interior seen through open doorway. Other bell tents; only roofs visible, flag pole with gold pennons adorn roof apexes.

Three bell tents and one pavilion. 

Red bell tent, small red triangular banner above a fluer de le shaped apex, gold swirls dexceend from apex, gold line decoration in band about middle of roof, the lower section to the roof is decorated in gold writing ("Lie may et time du roy daus..."?), dark blue valance decorated by patterns of gold balls, gold circles with alteranting red or blue balls (jewel encrusted?) with a fringe, plain red walls, the door flaps (with gold trim) are held wide by tucking the corner in to the valance on one side and a tie on the other , blue interior lining, brown centre pole, no pegging or guy ropes visible. 

Dark blue pavilion, small red square banners (with a gold "V") a top each multilobed apex, gold line decoration on roof, a small red heater with gold decoration adornes the centre of the roof, red valance decorated with small gold circles and fringing, three point guy rope attachment above valance, door flaps (with gold trim) are tied up to the valance revealing a light purple interior. 

White bell tent, small triangular banner a top a multilobed apex, red apron decorated by gold swirls descending from apex, valance outlined in blue and decorated in red rosettes, three point guy rope attachment, red interior. 

Yellow bell tent, banner obscured by frame, multilobed apex, thick red swirls descend from apex, gold decoration on roof including lettering ("...ERSSI"), black valance with gold decoration, three point guy rope attachment.

Story of Alexander the Great. 

The picture reprsents Alexander the Great receiving the mother and wife of the conquered King Darius. The arms and clothes as well as the landscape detailes illustrate contemporary Flanders. 

The codex was executed by Loyset Lyedet who worked for the Duke of Burgundy. This copy of the manuscript was made for Charles the Bold.
