| 1283 A.D. | A light coloured (white) Muslim bell tent, apex is obscured by another picture on the page, a horizontal strip of Arabic writing decorates a band across the centre of the roof, two horizontal lines delineate the roof, just below these lines are lots of single point guy rope attachments on either side of the door way, the inner lining is very dark compared to the outer shade, it also appears that the walls do not actually meet the ground (ventilation?), the guy rope pegs are visible around the outside of the tent, the pole has number of horizontal lines (rings) on it, while just below the roof line are two bulbous section in a lighter shade which could be pole sockets. The tent is very similar to those which appear in; Humble p.2, and Rice p. 233 (tents no.s 1 and 3). | Middle right. “A manuscript showing a crusader and a Muslim playing
