We The People of Old Monroe
The book We the People of Old Monroe  is now being offered for sale.  This book was written for the purpose of elping genealogists with their research in finding their ancestors, and is totally different than other previous histories I have wrtten.  The information was copied from original handwritten records found in the Old Record Room located in the basement of the Monroe Court House, and from documents found in the Clerks Office Record Room.  I am concentrating on the period from 1799 to 1855.

You will notice variations in the spelling of names, this is due to copying the information from the original, handwritten documents.  In this way, it may help to trace your family line farther back before they migrated into Monroe County.  It is always best to go to the court house and research your ancestors, however, if this is not an option then this book would be of some help.

This book lists land grants 1801, 1803, 1806, 1812. Survey book #1 index, Survey book #2 index, Survey book #3 index, early road records, voting lists, inventory of Sweet Springs Resort 1843,  Will book A, and etc.

Approximately 250 pages and is indexed.
