| "The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods." Psalm 24:1-2 This earth belongs to the Lord God, its Creator! It does not belong to the Democrats or the Republicans, or even the President. It does not belong to the Communists ~ It belongs to the Lord! There are so many people today that want to run this earth, but it belongs to God, and we need to acknowledge His control over it. What a different world this would be if every person on this entire earth would remember this is our Father's world! No blind force, no blind fate, but our heavenly Father's love still guides and shapes the destiny of all His people in things both great and small. Our Lord, who guides the flight of the sparrow and traces its final fall, has promised to guide us safely through all dangers in life and to bring us safely to home. This is a comforting thought with which to start each new day and with which to rest our weary heads each night. Through Christ, the God of the trackless universe has become our Father, and the unspeakable marvelous world in which we live, whose air we breathe and whose life we share, is forever bright with promise ~ His Promise! Application: God has promised to uphold, sustain, and guide not only the celestial spheres of the firmament, but also the single sparrow in solitary flight ~ and us, His children, who are redeemed by Jesus Christ, His Son. The world in which we shall go to sleep tonight and to which, be it His will, awaken tomorrow, is still our Father's world ~ to govern, guide, and keep for all His trusting children.
