"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first
earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the
holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared
as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of
heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he dwell
with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with
them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall
there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he
that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. . . ."
Revelation 21:1-5

Heaven is going to be simply wonderful! Just think ~ there will be no more
death, sorrow, crying, or pain! We will be without sin! But foremost and
best of all, WE WILL SEE JESUS, and be in His presence forevermore!
For those of us who are saved by God's marvelous grace, John's words
here should be of great comfort!

Have you ever really thought about what eternity will be like? We have a lot
of unanswered questions here on earth, but God promises to fulfill our
questions of life when we go to be with Him. When we get there we will
completely understand how in everything, God worked for our good. The
puzzle pieces of life will be molded together for us, and we will praise God
for all His dealings with us.

What boggles the mind more than anything else is that sinners like us are
going to heaven! We don't deserve such a wonderful place as this. But our
Savior assures us that "whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but
have everlasting life" (John 3:16). It is truly incredible that God has given
us the gift of eternal life in heaven. We certainly don't deserve it ~ we never
will. Only by God's undeserved love, His amazing grace, have we come to
faith and received heaven as our home.

Application:
No matter what we may be going through, it will not be the last word ~ God
has the final chapter ready for us in heaven's home. It will be about
fulfillment and eternal joy for those who love Him. Now, as strangers on
earth we should joyfully live for Him, before we go to live with Him.

May God bless you with a wonderful day as you give thanks for that open
door to heaven waiting on you.
