"Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up hid bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth." 1John 3:16-18

Have you taken the time to see someone who lives alone?

Have you wrote a letter to someone who crossed your mind?

Have you read the Bible to someone too ill to read themselves?

Have you encouraged a Brother or Sister having hard times?

Are you earnestly praying for those who are faltering?

Do you study your Bible in the presence of someone who's lost?

Have you told a teen-age Christian how proud you are of their efforts to live for the Lord?

Do you spend as much time on your knees as you do on the telephone each day?

This is just a very short list of many things every Christian can do to encourage and help someone else!

Application:
                                         "Make Life A Little Sweeter"
O let me shed a little light
                                           On someone's path I pray;
I'd like to be a messenger
                                               Of happiness today!
It may be just a phone call,
                                                 A smile or a prayer,
                                            Or a long neglected letter
                                          Telling someone that you care.
I want to spread some happiness
In all I say and do,
                                              Make life a little sweeter
                                            For someone else, don't you?

May God bless you with a wonderful day as you show love and compassion for someone in need.

Love in Christ,
        Sandy
