"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:19-20

The last Chapter and last two verses in Matthew are powerful words from our Lord Jesus Christ! They put something in my mind which I'd like to share with you. Let's take mules into consideration here for a moment. Now, as some of you may or may not know, mules are hard workers. They carry supplies, plow fields, pull wagons, and transport people one their backs. The only problem is that they are almost always sterile and therefore cannot reproduce. They are hard workers alright, but they are the end of the line! They do not produce more like themselves. Now, let us look at the church and its similarity to mules!
The church is full of hard workers. They teach classes, serve the physical needs of others, work diligently to put on a Christmas play, do janitorial duties inside and out, and much more! There is just one problem. They don't reproduce! They don't teach the gospel to the lost and dying world we live in so that others may become hard workers also. So, I suppose you could say, they are the end of the line just as the mules! They're going no where with their knowledge of God!
The real job the Lord gave us is to go into the world and reproduce ourselves by making disciples of others! It is a tough lesson to realize that you may have worked hard and yet still haven't gotten the job done! Let me plainly say, "If we are not evangelizing, we are not doing the work to get the job completed."
If we are nothing more than a generation of mules, we are on the road to extinction, Saints! Think about it ~ then work on it!

May God bless you with a wonderful day as you do what you need to reproduce!
