| Michael Schwandt Los Angeles-based choreographer and dancer Mike Schwandt began his formal dance training at the late age of 18. Always a lover of dance, he taught himself until he was discovered in high school by former Janet Jackson choreographer, Leonard Lopez who encouraged Mike to pursue dance as a career. Mike was admitted to The University of Texas at Austin as a dance major where he excelled in all levels of formal dance. Mike felt restricted by the confines of ballet and modern and during his second year he founded The Roustabouts Dance Company. Mike�s company was conceptualized, conceived, and created under his watchful eye. In its first year alone, the company drew hundreds to its auditions and was in high demand around the campus and Austin area. Soon after, Mike and his dancers were traveling across the State of Texas to entertain at various nightclubs, industrials, corporate events, concerts and raves. Mike has since formed Fusion Entertainment, and taken his creativity to a whole new level with this nationally sought after performance group. Mike also heads the Music Video Dance class at Equinox Fitness in Los Angeles. Mike�s style of choreography and performance concepts had never been seen before-a melding of street jazz, funk, a little hip-hop, and a touch of the classics for good measure. His choreography utilizes his skills as both a dancer and entertainer to create exciting entertainment that is now catching the eye of recording artists and members of the dance world alike. Mike�s ability to teach well and understand his dancer�s abilities and needs as students make him an incredibly easy choreographer to work with�and he loves to dance along with his students which helps to make him extremely approachable.
