After the first client
meeting to discuss what the client wants in their
presentation and packaging and what items they will need to
provide and in what quantities to make their vision a
reality, a second meeting is set to sign the contract for
the work and receive the Musical Photobooks elements
(Photos, mementos, video and music) and place the deposit
for the project. The client's requests are put in detail on
the Musical Photobook order form.
|
Client supplied
elements will be transferred into digital media for
editing.
|
Preparations for editing a Musical
Photobook, include scanning images, restoring photographs as
needed, transferring non-digital videotape, editing video
clips and loading music into the computer. As all elements
are prepared, they are placed in a project folder on the
main editing computer's hard drive. To prevent loss of data,
the folder in it's entirety is backed up and transferred to
another hard drive just before editing begins.
Editing the Musical Photobook
The order elements are added in to the
editor is crucial. Music is transferred into the editor
first, providing the time guideline for the project. Next
the photos and prepared graphic screens are sequenced into
the editor.
|
Music is transferred
into the editor first and the images are edited to
the music.
|
Then, working in order from the beginning
frame, each individual frame is fine tuned for precision
editing to the music with complementing transitions or
special effects. The editing process for a standard Musical
Photobook of about four minutes, is approximately two
hours.
Upon completion of the editing process,
the final edit is viewed for accuracy of timing and
transitions. Then it is rendered into a full quality DV
file. The Musical Photobook is ready to be combined with in
a DVD program with a custom menu and burned onto a DVD disk
ready for packaging.
