The Lone Ranger is a comic character that later became a cartoon then big screen movie. This was my favourite cartoon as a kid. I grew up believing the Lone Ranger Creed and way of Life.
When I was in Secondary School I had a problem of fitting in. I was regarded as an outcast, I had no friends and people dissed me left and right; calling me names, claiming that I had no class, wetted my bed and all that Jack rabbit. This was the time I put the lone Ranger Creed and way of Life into practice by creating the image (Phyzix), worked hard in everything, lived in seclusion, had no friends, did good to the good and bad to the bad and mostly became a master of everything I learnt.
Slowly but surely I became good in a great number of things because of The Lone Ranger Concept such as: Basketball (play at National level), Hip Hop (am convinced), Martial Arts (Brown belt), Education (Am in College) and I got a Fiancée. So, this album is about The Lone Ranger concept and what I went through which I believe a lot of Youth go through in terms of acceptance and Self love and appreciation by your peers. I wish to bring hope to those going through what I went through.
I am recording my album with the Daredevils. I am under the guidance of Q. Malewezi of Abstrak Beatz Entertainment. My music is called Dusty Sounds or Zamididi and generally is about creating characters and delivering my message in a comic way through these characters such as Cholapitsa, Chilombo, Memba, Zamisala and Gamba (from the album). I largely use hyperbolic humor, ghetto life, personal experience, The Lone Ranger legacy, my childhood and a Daredevil approach in my Music. I say anything that comes to mind…sample Gamba.
I also believe am one of the Phase Two pioneers. According to me, these are Malawian Hip Hop pioneers striving to make an identity for Malawian Hip Hop, gaining acceptance to the resistive elderly and Commercializing the game i.e. making money with it not going whack. I salute fellow frontline soldiers on this quest of getting paper from this; Tay Grin, Young Kay, Desert Eagle, Daredevils, DNM, Dominant 1, Third Eye, Maximum Sentence, Pop Dogg, Baby Jinx, Marvel, W.U.N, Nameless, Dizzo and countless others…I salute you, Letz get this Hip Hop money and make it big! I recognize the Real Elements and other Phase One pioneers who introduced the game to Malawi.
