After ringing
in 2001 with Boston's First Night celebrations, it was time
to be more adventurous and Times Square, New York was the
place to ring in 2002.
The famous
ball drop atop One Times Square has been a tradition dating
back to 1906. Apart from having a great time two things I
can never forget is the chill in the air with temperatures
below freezing and the huge security presence.
