Biography
Hilda Lamas was born September 9, 1983, in Aransas Pass, Texas. Growing up in her household music surrounded her everywhere. She first stepped foot on stage at the tender age of four at her church christmas pagent. From then on it was full steam ahead. Her mother enrolled her in piano lessons at the age of 7, and she continued to sing solos in church and with the children's choir, and even began singing in her school plays. When Hilda entered the fifth grade she learned how to play the recorder, it was already becoming quite evedent that Hilda had a huge passion for music. The following year, she began playing the flute in her junior high band. She often recalls the times when the flute section would go and practice in the practice rooms and her friends would make her sing instead. When she began seventh grade she began writing and she instantly found an out for all of her young feelings.

Once Hilda began highschool that was when her drive kicked in. she would go home everyday after school and just sing for hours. She began singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the home baseball games. Her sophomore year, she began playing the piccolo in the highscool marching and concert bands. that same year she filmed her first music video for a school competition winning tenth place in the state, and entered her school talent show where she won first place. Hilda continued entering school competitions, writing, and singing whenever she could. Hilda soon graduated highschool and it was off to college.

Hilda enrolled at Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi, in the fall of 2001. determined to make her dreams come true, she went down to Freddie Records and auditioned. the gentlemen there told her that she had no vocal talent. Naturally at the age of 18 Hilda got very dicouraged and stepped out of the spot light for a little while. About 6 months later, Hilda and her friends went out to play pool, and there they had karoake. None of her friends knew that she could sing, and after losing a bet she had to get up and sing. She stepped up on stage, picked up the mic and began singing. the place got quiet and when she was done the crowd applauded, and Hilda began building her confidence once again.

Hilda continued singing at the karoake bars and began perfecting her craft. Later that semester she changed her major to Music-vocal Performance and began classical training with Ms. Flick Rahn, who at the same time was also instructing Dianadra Flores of La conquista. Hilda and Diandra formed a quick bond, both having the same goals in mind, which helped Hilda get more focused then ever. A few months later Hilda then met Executive Vice President of Hacienda Records, Rick Garcia, and began working on small studio projects to help get her foot in the door. Hilda continued entering contests and won either first or second place everytime. she also began singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" around town at  sporting events which include, Islander Volleyball and basketball games, Aviators Baseball, Hammerheads Football, Gulf Coast Wrestling Alliance, and many more.
All of this hard work finally paid off, when in November of 2003, she was asked to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the annual stars event, special guest Jay Leno. Hilda finished the folowing spring semster of school and in July of 2004 decided it was time to take the next step and join a band, "PHIVE". She began performing with "PHIVE" all over the coastal bend.

2005 has brought alot of promise. Hilda was again asked to sing at the annual Stars Benefit this years special guest Clint Black, also this year "PHIVE" joined the Hacienda family, and should have thier first album out this year.
