When I made this hike I did not know the existence of the hard path so if you want more information on this one I recommand to go to information office mid way between Buachaille Etive Mor and Glen Coe's village near Clachaig Inn. The trail starts at a parking lot near a little white house at the beginning of the valley. From there the trail is pretty obvious.

One only has to scramble a bit near the end in little soft rocks. Once on the ridge I recommand to go first on the summit of the mountain from where you can have a really spectacular view on the flat land (Rannoch Moor) preceding the valley.

After that you can come back from where you came and continue on the ridge. At the end apparently one can have an amazing view on Glen Etive. It was unfortunately too cloudy for me to have it but I am sure it worth the little extra walk. To come back I recommand to go back from where you came. There is another trail going down (the blue trail on the map) but it is not easy to find. It is also really fun to "surf" on the little soft rocks in which you had to scramble earlier. If you decide to do all the ridge it should take you around 6 or 6 and a half hours to do this hike.
