Brian in his Kyle disguise has managed to drive both Emmett and Ethan to the sight where Zach has ditched Ethan;s Trans Am.  It is hidden behind an old implement shed that has begun to fall in on itself.  Brian is under the car inspecting it.  He is feed up and disappointed.

Emmett is somewhat relieved and is scratching the head of Jesse James, who is standing in the trailer.

Emerging form under the car with a small explosive devise, Brian says to Ethan, Guess you owe twenty bucks.

Mother of God!  You saved my life.  I guess you were right, Emmett.   These guys arent going to be stupid enough to let someone like me get a handle on them. But fuck it!  Theyve got Justin, and I cant just stand around and wait for whatever.  Those assholes in Custer dont have a clue, and Im scared enough not to trust my own shadow.

This devise has compression triggers with a sixty second delay, Brian explains.

You can tell that by just looking at it?  Emmett questions.

No.  Brian takes in a deep breath.  Zach likes to use them when he baits a trap like this.  You can also squeeze them or step on them then throw them, very much like a grenade.

Both Ethan and Emmett stare Brian with horror filled eyes and are frozen in place.

Then Ethan goes for his gun, but Brian has his drawn and is pointing it at him.

Dont.  I will not hesitate to kill you if you in any way to prevent me from rescue Justin.  It is what I came here to Custer to do.

But youve been living here more the a month! Emmett stammers.

I came to Custer in case Justin needed my help.  It is the only reason I deceived you, both of you.  Justin told you not to trust anyone, because he was basically blackmailed into working with CIA.  They are trying to capture a group of elite assassins, and they are willing to use him as bait.

Bait...

Emmett shakes his head.  That dont make any sense.  Who the hell are you really?

You dont want to know, Em.  It could turn your life into living hell.  What matter is, I already know where they will have taken Justin, but I really could use some help in getting him out of there.

How do we youre telling us the truth? Ethan asks still skeptical.

Look Im the best chance you two have on getting Justin out of there alive.  I care for Justin just as much as you two do, and I dont want him to die over this.  So, what I need to know is are you with me or against me?

Ethan and Emmett exchange glances.

Im with you, utters Emmett.

Me too,  Ethan replies.

Are you certain you want to do this?

I need to. answers Ethan.

So, do I, says Brian.  So, do I.

***

Brian parks his pickup and horse trailer off the road where it can be turned around.  There is some cover provided by trees.  Their position is physically between four cattle pastures.

Brian is wearing camouflage fatigue.  His sniper rifle is ready, and he places throwing knives into his boots before off loading his motorcycle.

You really do this shit for a living, dont you?  Emmett asks as watches Brian.

I only wish to put the madness behind me, the madmen still want to play, Brian explains.

You are talking about the people who took Justin, arent you?

Yes, and persons within your own government who have held onto Justin like a hostage.  They want to get to an international terrorist, a man named Jack McKinney.

Are you like a double agent?

No, I doing this for me.  He studies Emmett for moment before continuing.  Jack is my father.  I was raised to part of the team.

But I had heard of Kyle Peterson out of Billings, Montana before I met you.  Did you kill him?  Emmett asks a little bit worried.

He killed himself.  Brian shakes his head.  He was a main line drug user who overdosed in a whorehouse across the boarder a month before I came along.  You could say I stole his identity.

So, does this mean youll work the rodeo circuit after all this is over?

Well, Id have to learn how to ride a horse first.

You cant ride? gasps Emmett.

Have you ever seen me ride?

I seen old photographs, but those would have to of been the real Kyle. Damn!

Cutting through the barbwire fence to gain access to one of the pastures, Brian  shakes Emmetts extended hand.

Please, bring me back my brother.

Brian pulls on his helmet and starts up  motorcycle.  I wont come back without him.
