| David L. Robertson - Pianist/Performer & Worship Leader |
| It is my belief that the church of Jesus Christ exist to impact the community in various ways. First of all, the chuch was created by our Lord Himself to spread the good news of the kingdom of God, telling all who will listen of Jesus' love and sacrifice on behalf of mankind. Our first purpose is to bear the "precious seed" of the gospel. I also feel that a church should be involved in the life of the community, making a positive contribution in every way at it's disposal. I believe in seeking for new avenues of ministry, striving to find creative ways to meet the genuine needs of others. I believe that the church also exists to provide opportunities for worship, meaningful interaction and Christian fellowship with others of like faith (regardless of race) in unity, harmony and love; to strengthen, comfort, and exhort one another. I believe the church to be a place for birthing, equipping and training Christians, where ordinary people can experience extraordinary things. To fulfill any vision, the church must be a place where Christ is honored, God is worshiped, and everyone is free to respond to the presence of the Holy Spirit in his or her own way. I believe in a strong music program which will involve everyone both young and older to enter into worship that leads them into the presence of God. Traditional, contemporary and charismatic styles of music must work together and create a blend. I believe in a balance of music that accommodates the needs of an entire congregation - not just one specific interest. I believe in allowing an individual to minister in his/hers own gifts and talents to better equip the body of Christ for service. |
