Day 2
Model Rail Scotland
Overall impression of the show was pretty good. Especially of the layout Blair Atholl towards Drumocheter.
What a Layout! Having spent most of the day operating this layout we didnt see much else but do we care- no!
We were able to operate the best layout there. After winning three cups- the Hornby glass trophy for overall best layout,
the Scotrail cup for best scottish based layout and another for the best building- the Blair Atholl town hall.
Highland Rail would like to thank Ian McCreadie and all there over the weekend of February 22nd-23rd.
The site is available at: http://www.blairatholl-drumochter.co.uk
Glasgow QS
=================
After waiting for ages for a certain person, you know who you are!, we went to GQS with a KFC. No Mings tonight unfortunately.
An Aberdeen train had been cancelled so our train was extended to cope with the extra people.
Imagine what it would have been like if the route had been operated by voyagers!
A four-car unit would have been grossly over-crowded meaning an 8-car unit.
Can you see scotrail investing in 5-car units?
Sightings were:
170413 (travelled on) 15872x too, sorry we were to busy running for the train/knackered.
67007 sleeper,
