CHAPTER 14: Ensatsu Kokuryuha

Suddenly my monitor beeped. I turned it on and a hologram of Koenma appeared. He instructed us that our second enemy Kairi was located at the marina. We hurried over there just as he had finished sucking on a fisherman. “Ahhhh, at last I meet my brother’s killer” he said slowly wiping his mouth. We got into our positions. (fighting song plays) They all attack but Kairi dodges and turns to me. He attacks and I block quickly. The others step in to interrupt. But Kairi quickly sprays them with his vile. EEEEK! I hear Kuwabara scream. The pavement started to melt as the liquid hit it. Woow! Yusuke exclaimed. Kairi attacks me again. The others jump up but Kairi sicks the liquid on them. Kairi smiled, “It’s just you and me, baby!” We face off. Both kicking, attacking, blocking. We were fighting so fast that we became a blur to the others. “Wow! They’re fast! And look at Botan! Man! And I thought she couldn’t even punch!” Kuwabara exclaimed. “Whoever’s been tr aining her must be real good.” Kurama said. Hiei only hnned in true Hiei style. “Come on guys, we have to figure out a way to get past his defense or she will tire out fast!” Yusuke cried.
“Yeah, she’s tiring out fast!” Kuwabara exclaimed. “And how would you know that? Hiei asked sarcastically, Can you even see them?” “Why you little shrimp!” Kuwabara started. Kurama stepped in between them and said firmly, “This is neither the time nor place to do this!” Hn! Hiei grumbled as he began unwrapping his arm. “Hiei! What are you gonna do!” Yusuke said in alarm. “What does it look like? We need to get him without getting melted. And your reigun didn’t even faze the first one so…” Hiei finished unwrapping his arm. “Hiei are you sure that’s a good idea?” Kurama asked worriedly. “I don’t see you jumping up with any bright ideas.” Hiei answered. “Stand back!” Hiei shouted. Kuwabara did what the little runt told them to this time. Even he wasn’t stupid enough to argue with Hiei when he was about to unleash his pet dragon.
I looked around wildly at the others hoping to see that one of them would intervene. I was getting pretty tired here. One of them, any of them! My eyes widened as I saw Hiei unwrapping his arm. Oh my god! He’s gonna use it! I better get out of his way! As I heard him shout I jumped off the floor and landed as far back as I could which was next to Hiei.
ENSATSU KOKURYUHA! Hiei yelled as he unleashed his black dragon. Kairi turned around and discharged his own biggest vilest liquid bath. It hit the dragon and it twitches uncontrollably. I see Hiei’s arm jerk unruly. Hiei feels sweat beads form in his forehead as he tried to steady his arm with his left hand. Please god let Hiei defeat this guy! I silently prayed. The dragon began to twist and turn violently as the poison burned down its throat. Kairi laughed evilly somewhere in the background. Shit! Hiei thought as he strove to obtain control of his dragon. Concentrate! Concentrate your energy into your hand! Hiei murmured to himself. He closed his eyes and felt the black magic run into his veins as if replacing his blood. I watched in horror, as Kairi’s blast seemed to be killing Hiei’s dragon slowly. I turn to Hiei, he’s eyes were closed. Suddenly, the dragon geared up and swallowed Kairi’s poison whole. Kairi choked and before he could even fire another blas t, the dragon swallowed him too. Kairi screamed in agony as he felt the dark power of the dragon eat him into nothingness.
Hiei smiled as the ocean echoed Kairi’s scream of pain and with that he collapsed. Into Botan’s arms. “Oh!” I cried softly as Hiei collapsed into my arms. He felt so light. “Hiei?” I whispered concernedly. I heard him snore. I burst out laughing and lost my balance. I-we crashed on the floor.
The others quickly rushed to our side. “Botan! Hiei! Are you alright?” Kurama asked worriedly. I waved him off. “I’m fine and so is he.” I said as I pointed to the sleeping Hiei in my arms. “Huh! The squirt did it!” Kuwabara said snidely. Yusuke clapped him in the back. “Thank God he did.” Kurama helped me with Hiei. “Let’s Go Home!” Yusuke laughed merrily. We all nodded as we headed off.
