PROLOGUE

My head… ooh my head. I had a bad splitting headache. My whole body was feeling absolutely gory, jiggle, and raw. I felt like a delicious vegetable with a freeze burn. I rolled over on my bed with a low growling moan as I looked at the clock on my nightstand. 6:30 AM. Agh. I forgot. Today was a school day. Friday. December ninth. I had about 2 more days left to go to school until we were let out for Christmas break. For some strange reason, they have given us about 3 weeks of vacation which I really didn’t understand, but then again, life is a mystery.
“Shuichi! Wake up or you’ll be late for school!” Kasaan shouted from the kitchen.
I slowly arose from my bed feeling dizzy. My temperature rose in my head. Suddenly, my head felt very heavy and it felt almost impossible for me to balance it properly. Tilting my head back and forth, I made my way to the bathroom. It was only a few steps next to my room but those few steps seemed like walking millions of miles in the sierra desert. Finally, I made it to the bathroom. I turned on the light switch. The light was so bright that I had to squint as hard as I could to find my toothbrush. Oh, the brightness in my eye hurt badly. I slowly opened my eyes in front of the mirror. Oh, Lord. My eyes. They were red and watery. I looked like I just got finished crying a long cry. And my face. So pale! The only redness on my face was my cheeks. I gently put my hand over my forehead. It was very hot. I had a fever. <Come on, Kurama! Just two more days of school. Hang in there> I said to myself. Trying to ignore my fever, I grabbed my toothbrush and turned on the faucet. Every small sound in this bathroom sounded like a 100 volumed stereo right in my ear. As I reached my toothbrush in under the water a few drops of water dripped on my fingers. My skin was burning up yet inside I was freezing to death. I couldn’t decide if I was hot or cold. I was both in a way. Suddenly, I heard small footsteps up the hallway.
“Shuichi, your breakfast is getting cold.” Kasaan peeked her head through the doorway. I slowly moved my heavy head to see her. She looked stunned.
“Oh, Shuichi! Are you sick?” I said nothing. She rushed over to me with both her hands on my face feeling my cheeks and forehead. She raised the tip of my eyes so she could see if they were puffy and watery.
“My dear! You’re burning up with a fever! You should stay home today.” She exclaimed.
“Now go downstairs and lay down on the couch. I’ll bring you a pillow, warm blankets and some hot soup. You really need to rest today.”

o.O Okay...*really* short I know but I have VERY little time here oh and so you know, Kurama-kun being sick really down't have anything to do with the plotline. I just found it really kawaii to see his kasaan taking care of him! =*^_^*=
More to come!
