Wendy in Western Maryland
In this picture I am searching for salamanders in the lake with Ian (my boyfriend).  The lake is near Herrington Manor State Park way up in the mountains of Western Maryland near the West Virginia line.  We actually caught around 10 salamanders with our bare hands.  Then we cooked them up for dinner.  No, I would never do that.
In this picture, I am the person on the right, and Ian is on the left.  We (me, Ian, Laura, and Adam) took our canoes to the cool end of the lake where the water was shallow.  We actually saw a huge snapping turtle, and Ian grabbed it by the tail.  Lukily he didn't catch it because I did not feel like rowing back to shore by myself.
Ian is attacking me on this island.  We rowed all the way out to this little island in the middle of the lake.  We didn't stay here long because the whole island was covered with gnats.
Ian, Laura, and I are at Swallow Falls State Park drinking our beer.  Well, it is actually root beer, but everyone else didn't know that.
This is a picture of Muddy Creek Falls.  I believe it's the largest waterfall in Maryland, but I was too drunk on rootbeer to remember what the little tourist sign read.  Ian took this picture and almost gave me a heart attack because he was perched on the edge of a huge slippery rock.  Behind Ian was another large waterfall, so he would have died for sure.
