We shall know whether what we are doing is useless, only after we have identified the goals we are are trying to achieve.
To promote the unified image of the Department of Education Culture
and Sports, THE TARGET started after the two-day Basic Campus Journalism Training, held in Holy Infant College last July 6-7, 1996.
The head adviser Mr. Reynaldo Garnace said, "In accordance with the
Republic Act 7079, the three departments-Elementary, High School, and College, must organize separate publication for each department."
As an independent official publication of the college department, the
name TARGET is chosen, which implies to mean - something to achieve for, a bull's eye.
At the same time, its aim is the real essence of a school publication -
to educate, to inform and to entertain.
This piece of work serves as the source of knowledge in which the
students are not aware of. This would inform them all the things that are happening such as, important events, programs etc., of the school
and the whole society as well. This would also help them utilize their spare time wisely.
The TARGET will be released quarterly, it may be a tabloid or a
magazine.
The TARGET's motto is this: "Ours is a difficult task, but we shall
accomplish it to the best of our ability."
