Lena Kaligaris
Nickname: Lenny
This is shy and beautiful Lena. She is very beautiful, but because of this, she doesn't trust people to look beyond her, well, looks. In the first book she goes to Greece to visit her grandparents, Valia Kaligaris and Bapi Kaligaris with her younger sister Effie.

Bridget Vreeland
Nicknames: Bee, Bridge, Beezy, Bumble Bee
Bridget is an outgoing, on-the-surface kind of girl. She dives right in to meet challenges and some times bites off more than she can chew. On the surface she seems fearless, but when she was 11, her mother committed suicide, and ever since her death, poor Bee hasn't know quite how to talk to her dad or her twin brother Perry. The first summer she goes to Baja to soccer camp, meets a guy, and falls for him ... hard.

Tabitha Anastasia Tomko-Rollins
Nicknames: Tibby, Tibs, Tibberon
Tibby is skeptical. She's stuck at home this summer working at Wallmans. Ick. It's there that she meets Bailey - a twelve year old who appoints herself Tibby's assitant in making her "suckumentary". She teaches Tibby how to look past appearances.

Carmen Lowell
Nicknames: Carma, Carmabelle, Nena, Carmeena
Carmen loves so hard... She's like the glue that keeps the Sisterhood together. She is the one who originally buys the pants at a thrift shop called Yes!. She has a fiery temper!

Marlene Vreeland
Nickname: Marly This is Bridget's mother. She committed suicide when Bridget was 11.

Christina Lowell
Nickname: Tina This is Carmen's mother. She divorced Carmen's dad...ever since then it's just been Carmen and Christina!

Alice Rollins Tibby's mom, mother of 3 (Tibby, Nicki, and Katherine).

Ariadne Kaligaris
Nickname: Ari This is Lena's mom. She lives in a house with a pool in the backyard with Lena's father, Lena, and Effie.

Eric Richman
This is the guy Bridget falls for. He is much older than she, and off-limits as a coach at her soccer camp in Baja.

Kostos Dounas
This is the guy our shy and beautiful Lena falls for. Actually, she doesn't trust him to start with. Her Greek grandmother tries to set them up, but, it doesn't go over well with Lena.

Paul Rodman This is Carmen's stepbrother-to-be. He's very very quiet. He soon becomes one of Carmen's good friends.

Brian McBrian
This is a subject of Tibby's "suckumentary" who eventually becomes a friend. He spend most of the first book at the 7-11 playing Dragon Slayer, an arcade game.

Bailey Graffman Tibby's kind of friend, and self-appointed assistant in making her suckumentary. She's got leukemia and helps Tibby realize that it isn't that hard to be nice to people.

Krista Rodman This is Carmen's stepsister-to-be, and Paul's sister. She's small, perfect, and blonde. She is an uptalker and very polite.

Lydia Rodman Lydia likes things quiet, perfect, and right in place. That's something that Carmen does not care about in the first book!! haha...Lydia is Carmen's step-mother-to-be.

Effie Kaligaris Lena's younger sister, and exact opposite! Effie is happy-go-lucky and spirited. She can pick up last summers' romance like a piece of paper and let it drop again like a worn out pair of blue jeans. She was left out of the Sisterhood movie.

The More Important Other Characters in book 2

Greta Randolph Greta is Bee's late mother's mother. She lives in Burgess, Alabama, and in the 2nd book Bee goes to visit her, under the alias Gilda.

Billy Kline Billy is one of Bee's childhood friends who she meets up with in Burgess. They used to be on the soccer team together. She becomes Burgess Soccer Team's unofficial coach.

Kostos Dounas Uh huh - Kostos is back. Only this time, he and Lena get back together!

Brian McBrian Tibby discovers what it means to be a true friends when she meets some false friends who she's embarrassed to introduce Brian to.

Alex A guy that tibby meets at film school. He's kind of mean to Brian.

Maura She is another person that Tibby meets. She's very shallow. She wears tinted pink, rimless glasses.

Krista Rodman Krista's back too! She runs away, to Washington D.C., and spends some time with Carmen.

David David is Christina's boyfriend. Carmen's not entirely sure that she approves. She knows she doesn't approve after Christina borrows the Pants to go on a date. What sucks even more? They look good on Christina.

Winthrop Sawyer Carmen meets Win, who volunteers at the hospital, and is afraid he might actually think she's a good person too.

About Sisterhood

These 4 girls were friends even before they were born! Their mothers met at a Prenatal aerobic class. They had absolutely nothing in common, except...their due dates. The first to be born was Lena, soon followed by Bridget, Tibby, and Carmen was the last. Though their mothers have grown apart, they're still as tight as ever!
