Would you like to see Spanish TV? (Page 9 of 10)
FAQ
Q: Which satellite receiver should I buy? A: You should go for a satellite receiver you can get for a fair, low price, and one which of course fulfils the requirements of being a digital satellite receiver for "Free to Air" receiving. To the best of my knowledge, you can use any brand and any receiver of such kind. Any gimmicks or special features such as card reader and/or decoder is totally irrelevant, and not at all worth to pay anything for, in this relation.
Q: Where should I buy? A: Not easy to answer. If you do not care too much about the price, then buy some trustworthy place, where you can get guidance and help. In this relation, when talking about watching Spanish TV in Denmark via satellite, I advice you to immediately leave any shops where they begin to talk about "golden card" or free receiver by some subscription to Nordic satellites or such. In fact, you will meet this attitude in most TV shops, and even in many antennae shops. Watch out, and buy at a decent and honest place where they do not try to sell you something completely different than what you came for!
It is possible to buy at discount-price in Denmark. I have seen a price of 400 kr (55 Euro) in a Danish discount chain.
The cheapest prices are in Germany. You can buy via Internet with a postal order. A good, low price there is around 40 Euro for a receiver. Expect a charge of 10 Euro for shipping. According to the new EU rules, you can transfer Euro inexpensively within the EU for a very low bank fee.
