"Heymish" is an online magazine written by Jewish Women for Jewish women.
The journal is scheduled for publication six times a year.

Submissions are always welcome.

What to submit.

For JW-Journal:

Articles; essays; short notes; book, film and theatre reviews; conference proceedings and bibliographies covering the life and interest of Jewish women.  

For "Heymish":

Jewish Recipes, crafts, topics concerning gardening, decorating, beauty, fashion
Please note: We will not tolerate advertisements in any section.

Contemporary Writings:

Articles, interviews and essays; short stories and poetry; plays and artwork.    

E-mail submissions may be made, in ASCII format (Plain Text) or Microsoft Word for PC (attachments)  to:
[email protected]

Manuscripts should be typed and double-spaced; no name should appear on the title page.
A brief biographical note and a brief abstract (up to 100 words) should accompany the submission. 
Articles should be written in English.  

Reference notes should follow the article.   
Previously published materials are also considered.
However, it is the author's responsibility to obtain the copyright permission from the appropriate publisher. 

Authors are welcome to include images and/or pictures with their submission.
The authors before submission should clear copyright issues for these.

The
"JW- Journal" (including "Heymish" is a non-profit organisation and thus cannot pay any fees to writers.
Articles sent to the editor might be considered for publication later.
Unfortunately, we cannot comment on all material sent for submission and it is up to the editors to decide which submissions will be published.
This has nothing to do with the quality of the submission, but is due to the web space available for each issue.
