Heth's Pregnancy Journal
6 weeks-Week of Aug. 18, 2003~ Morning sickness has entered the building with a vengence! Or should I say all day sickness UGH! I definately don't remember feeling this bad when I was pregnant with Cylle...Aug. 18, was my first OB appt. The doctor says everything looks good. He did an ultrasound, but all we saw was the gestational sac at this stage, no baby could be seen to the naked eye yet, but the doc says that's normal usually the baby can't be spotted until around 7-8 weeks. Stephen and I decided on names this week: If it is a girl, she will be named Sophia Aurora. If it is a boy, he will be named Seth Anthony. Aug. 19th, I had some bleeding today and went right to the doctor...The doctor said I needed to take it easy and ordered me to take a few days on bedrest.
I also discovered my first food adversion this week: Chicken! I can't even look at it with out feeling nauseous! I guess that means no chicken for me for awhile...

8 weeks-Week of Sept. 1, 2003~ I'm definately developing a baby pooch! None of my clothes fit! Looks like I will have to break down and start wearing maternity clothes ASAP.

9 weeks-Week of Sept. 8, 2003~ We told Stephen's parents and brothers and my mom this week that we are expecting... Stephen's parents and brothers were very excited about the baby as was my mother. I also told everyone at work this week, I got alot of genuine congratulations from my co-workers which was really nice...
Now to tell the rest of the family! Stephen and I made pregnancy annoncements and sent them to everyone else in the family, the pregnancy announcements really came out nice...

10 weeks-Week of Sept. 15, 2003~ I broke down and started wearing maternity clothes this week, my belly is getting TOO big! Sept. 18, I rented a baby doppler(to hear the baby's heartbeat) and it came in the mail today! I am so excited to go home tonight and hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. We heard the baby's heartbeat last night what a beautiful sound!

11 weeks-Week of Sept. 22, 2003~I am on cloud 9! I definately felt the baby move today! I felt a little something last week, but it was so slight that I wasn't sure if it was the baby or not. Well, today I KNEW for sure it was the baby making his/her presence known the kick was really strong, so strong that I felt and could see the movement from the outside! WOW! Just amazing! I can't stop smiling! I can't wait until I can feel your kicks all the time.

14 weeks-Week of Oct. 13, 2003~ Morning sickness is pretty much gone, finally! And I can occasionally eat chicken again, but still feel a little "iffy" when I eat it sometimes.  I feel the baby moving more  often now, but still only "flutters". I cant' wait to feel the hard kicks not too much longer! I have some of my energy back and my appetite is finally back too yippee! I am excited because on Sat. Nov. 8th, we will be having an ultrasound done to find out if you are a boy or a girl...we are dying to know!

18 weeks-Nov. 10, 2003
Well we now know what you are! You are a little boy and we are elated! We will now have two little boys running rampid in our household! The ultrasound place that we went to to find out which gender you were was great! The staff was super nice and we got some really great shots of you playing around in my tummy. Alot of people were there to see you for the first time~Nana Helayne, Uncle John, G-ma Shirley, Uncle Sam & Gaby, big brother Cylle and Daddy of course. We all instantly fell in love with you Seth, you are such a little character already we can tell! You were jumping up and down in the womb exercising your legs doing the backstroke, you rubbed you little head in boredom, you sucked your thumb and you even waved at us! We all can't wait to meet you!
