Each player wishing to participate in this event will need to prepare one three-hundred point Marvel HeroClix force. Each player will also need to prepare two one-hundred point Marvel HeroClix forces. These two smaller armies will be the reserve forces that a player may attempt to call into the game at a later point.
At the start of the game, the three-hundred point force is placed on the map as normal. At any point after the third turn, a player may opt to attempt to bring his or her second army onto the field. At any point after the sixth turn, a player may opt to attempt to bring his or her third army onto the field.
In order to summon the second or third force, a player must assign a power action to one of his or her figures. The player then rolls a single six sided die for this character. On a roll of 4-6, the summoning is a success. On a roll of 1-3, the summoning attempt has failed.
Once summoned, the player's reserve force is placed on the map in any clear area that is within five squares of the summoning figure. Only one character from the reserve force needs to be within the five squares of the summoner; however, each figure in the reserve force must be placed on the map in a square that is adjacent to another reservist. No figures from the reserve force may be assigned an action on the turn in which they were summoned.
Finally, regardless of the total build of the force on the board each player will only be allowed three actions per turn. Team Abilities that allow free actions and powers such as Leadership will still function normally.
