Chess
The chess game that Harry Ron and Hermione had to complete in the first book could tell a deeper story. Each chose their spots. Hermione the castle, she only moved strait signifying she played by the rule. Ron was a knight showing he can be brave. Harry was a bishop which moved diagonal meaning he bends the rules, he is also very close to the king who may represent Dumbledore. The white pieces showed no mercy just like the Death Eaters. The first real shock was when the queen took the knight, the first shock of the war was when Sirius was killed by Bellatrix. Sirius would be like a knight because he was brave and the queen is very close to the king and it seems that Bellatrix is close to Voldemort. The queen also took Ron so Bellatrix may kill him. Harry checkmates the king, Voldemort, and lives.
IS HARRY A HORCRUX?
Posted on July 23, 2005
The most logical subject in the series for a horcrux of Voldemort is Harry. It would explain why they share many traits. First the core of their wand is shared establishing an obvious connections between the souls of Harry and Voldemort. Second the sorting hat sensed that Harry would do well in Slytherin, the House of which Voldermort was the "true heir". It could also explain why Harry can fight and escape Voldermort so well, the reason is simple since he would share some of his soul they would share similar actions in certain situations. They also share the ability to talk to snakes which, as far as we know, was not in Harry's ancestry. It could also explain a darker side of Harry that we have seen from time to time, for example Harry's strong desire to kill Sirius himself in PoA seeing as Voldermort had an openly violent soul. Finally the prophecy, neither can live while the other survives, means Harry would have to get rid of the horcrux to stop Voldermort from surviving and he would then be living his own life free of the influences of Voldermort's soul.
