Shipping Terms
Please read this page if you are interested in purchasing something from me.
PAYMENT
All customers must pay via paypal. If you are interested in payment, you must contact me first via email ([email protected]) or aim (hermsta) to obtain my paypal address. You must paypal me the amount the products cost + the shipping fee and include your name, address, shipping choice, and stock you are interested in purchasing in the email you send to me. You MUST contact me before anything else as you cannot paypal me without my paypal address!
SHIPMENT METHODS & DATES
I use two shipping methods: USPS Express (overnight) or UPS Priority (2-3 business days). Live delivery guaranteed if you go with the USPS Express shipping option and it is highly recommended that you go with this shipping choice. However, the decision is ultimately up to you to decide which shipping method you want to choose. You must include either $25 for USPS Express (overnight) OR $6 for UPS Priority (2-3 business days) plus the amount of payment for the actual mantis or ootheca in your order (product price + shipping fee).
USPS Express (overnight) requires someone to be present at the time of delivery. If no one is present, a note will be left at the door and you will need to present this note and your ID at the post office to recieve your package.
Live shipments ship on Mondays through Saturdays at my convenience. Your order may be paid for on a certain day but shipped on another as I do not have all the free time in the world.
DOA'S OR INJURY
If you recieve any DOA's (dead on arrivals), you must have some photographical evidence and email it to me. I can either refund your money via paypal, OR send you replacements (no shipping fee). Oothecae that never hatch will be refunded or replaced (you must have evidence the ooth never hatched - a method to this is after more than 2-3 months of incubation, slit open a tiny portion of the ooth to reveal the eggs. If the inside is black/dried, take a picture, as they have died. If the inside is green or liquid oozes out, your ooth is still in incubation!).
If the animal is defective in any way, please provide me with some proof. Depending on the seriousness, I will either refund your money or send you a replacement (i.e., if you send me an email that your mantis is missing an antenna and want a refund/replacement, it won't happen as this isn't a serious injury and won't affect the mantid's health. Missing limbs, sickly, death, etc. are all considered 'serious').
Once the mantid(s) arrive in your care, I no longer hold responsibility for refunding your money UNLESS the mantids arrived in a sickly condition to begin with and die later in the day or the next day. I cannot refund your money if your mantis arrives healthy but dies a week later.
CARRIER DELAYS
Carrier delays or mistakes in the handling of your shipment must be handled between you and the carrier.
SHIPMENT DURING WINTER MONTHS
Shipping during winter months will be somewhat delayed for every shipment, going with the weather. I will include heatpacks in the box for an extra $1.00 (product price + shipping fee + heatpack fee). It is required that you purchase a heatpack if your state is cold during the winter, otherwise you will MOST LIKELY be recieving DOA's.
RETURNS
If you recieve your animal but are somehow unhappy with it, please notify me within 24 hours and I can refund your money minus shipping when the animal arrives back in my care.
