Some of the members of the elders actually admired and respected Jesus. Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimethea were 2 who did not agree of Jesus being treated like a common criminal. |

But most of them were jealous of Jesus and falsely accused Him. It all came down to a final question which Caiphas asked Him. "Are you the Messiah, the Son of God." |
