| The sea was stirred up because a strong wind was blowing. Jesus came towards them walking on the sea. The disciples were terrified and said it was a ghost. Jesus spoke to them, "Don't be afraid, it is I." | |||||||||||

| Simon Peter said to Him, "Lord if its you, command me to come to you on the water." Jesus replied, "Come to me." Simon Peter got out of the boat and began to walk towards Jesus. | |||||||||||

| But when he saw how strong the wind and the waves were he became frightened and began to sink, he cried out,"Lord, save me!" Jesus walked towards him and caught him. Jesus said to him,"O you of little faith, why did you doubt?" After they got in the boat the wind died down. (Matthew 14:22-33) |
