| Pictured to the left is Narinder Singh, our guide in Chandigarh, getting his nails cut. The young boy does not use a fingernail clipper, but scissors to do the job. Since Narinder is a Sikh, he does not cut his hair or shave his beard. (one of the five Sikh rules) To the right, a customer receives a shave on the side of the road. They don't use water, but a straight edge and shaving lather. They also don't use the latest hygiene techniques either. Below right is a scary sign pointing to a dental care center depicted on the lower left. I think I will wait to get my teeth checked in the good ole USA. Directly below are two young girls visiting the Rock Garden. |
