Bali
Go Back to Hennyworld
Bali is a wondrous place full of culture, ceremony, surf, beaches and shops.... but because of the bombing last October, the war and SARS there isn't anyone here to enjoy it.

As a result every Balinese person has turned into a personal tour guide, taxi driver or shop vendor prompting offers for "transport" or "You look my shop, I give you good price" every six steps.
We flew into Denpasar and made our way to Seminyak and Kuta, two touristy spots along the beach..

Just west of these towns is the amazing temple
Tanah Lot where we watched the sun set. Next  we headed to Ubud which is considered the art and cultural center of Bali.  There we saw a Jegog Ceremony, the monkey forests and  elephant park.   Heading north for the day we  explored rice paddy fields in tagalala village and volcanoes in Kintimani as well as Ulun Danu Batur, the largest temple in Bali.
The Bakso experience is similar to the ice cream truck at home. Only here you better have an iron stomach.
Imagine fitting all this into the trunk of your car ; this guy is riding his bike.
The dragon fighting his serpent.
There are no less than 20 people in the back of this truck.
