8/28/2003: Alpha releases once again Alpha Video is once again going to release a new Gamera film, Attack of the Monsters. Also known as Gamera tai Guiron. The movie features two kids, Akio and Tom, who are transported on a space ship to a unknown planet inhabited by two brain-eating female aliens! It's a pretty good movie, but keep in mind this is the AIP-TV distributed film that deletes the graphic scene of Guiron flicing off Space Gyaos' head and wings. This movie was also released by Retromedia as a Double Feature with Destroy All Planets. The movie will be fullscreen, and in color. Check out Alpha's product page. 8/28/2003: Reviews coming soon! I will soon be posting reviews of Mechanical Violator Hakaider: The Director's Cut, Gorgo, and DVD reviews of VCI Entertainment's Gorgo DVD, as with Alpha Video's recent two Gamera releases: Gammera, the Invincible, and War of the Monsters. Screencaps of all movies will be included, so make sure you stop by here soon! Also, just to inform you all, I am soon buying a domain name that will allow me to have more space. Henshin! Zero will soon revert back to All-Out-Monsters-Attack! A sub-website, entitled 'The Other Kaiju,' will be forthcoming.

Well, the good thing about it is that I can use his layout now and put it for good use! The entire reason the site was shut down was because of some asshole who kept downloading or shit. Ballard got a bill for $100 bucks, and now that ain't woth it, not by a long shot homie! Anyway, check out the site to read the entire notice. |

8/17/2003: SkyHigh: The Movie A site has been put up for a new SKYHIGH movie. The site included News, a teaser trailer, and something about DVDs. I don't really know, since I don't have too many reliable sources to translate Japanese. Anyway, take a look at the site. Pretty neat. Almost looks like KILL BILL. Also, SKYHIGH: THE MOVIE will be directed by Ryuhei Kitamura. 8/17/2003: New Ultraman for 2004 Currently in the preproduction stage, scheduled to start airing in Spring 2004 through a TBS newtwork. Just to inform people, Ultraman Legend isn't the Ultraman for 2004. Nikkan Sports reports the 2004 Ultraman will be number 31. Ultraman Legend is number 30. Apparently, this new series will take place in a totally differeant universe then 'Ultraman Cosmos'. Try this link, this one, and finally, this one for Ultraman news! 8/17/2003: Want to buy 'The Blue Planet'? This isn't really news or anything, but this site contains 'Ultraman Cosmos 2: The Blue Planet' to buy. I don't own the film, but it would be great if someone bought it and sent us a review! Not to mention it includes a pretty cool cover!

8/16/2003: Report: 'Variety' mag celebrates Tsuburaya 40th Birthday! Henshin! Online reported a large amount of weeks ago that the magazine 'Variety' would be featuring a article about the 40th Birthday of Tsuburaya Productions. They didn't say how much stuff would be included. Inside, there is information about the U.S. release of Ultraman Tiga. Apparently, the reason for the show's downfall is that the show didn't fit well with the other animated shows on The Fox Box (i.e. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turltes, Kirby Strikes Again, Ultimate Muscle, and more). The article also talks about the two 'Ultraman Cosmos' films, as well as the one that is currently having a Japanese theatrical release. You better as hell check this magazine out. It's dedicated to all things Movies, and even includes information on the Japanese boxoffice! 8/16/2003: Japanese Box Office Results 'Bayside Shakedown 2', a Fuji-TV produced and Toho released police-drama film, opened on theaters on July 19th. The film opened on 408 screens, and has taken $15.15 million in the first three days. Only "The Matrix Reloded' has a better box office smash. As well, the sequel film 'Battle Royale 2' has granted Toei with a great profit! The film has grossed $2.8 million in 249 theaters. Toho has also released, like, the sixth Pokemon feature, "Pokemon 2003" on 309 screens, also premiring on July 19th, with a $3.75 million intake for Toho. 'Pokemon2003' also features a short feature called 'Mysterious Station of Dancing Pokemon.' 8/16/2003: Toho Press Conference New Page Aside from the official Godzilla page, Toho has also put up a new page that includes pictures and a Q&F thing. If anyone is willing to translate the page, please do so, and use a reliable source.

8/15/2003: New DVD information Wow, it seems this site is updated everyday, doesn't it? Anyway, the DVDrive-In has released all tree of Warner Brothers October 2003 monster DVD releases. You can find the page here, which features the covers of all three films: 'Valley of Gwangi,' 'The Beast From 20,000 Fasthoms,' and 'The Black Scorpion.' The image for 'Valley of Gwangi' is differant from the VHS release. The cover for 'Beast From 20,000 Fathoms' looks closer to publicity stills and lobby cards. It was also reported a little while ago that the second Ringu film will be getting a DVD release this year, under the title The Spiral. More news has arisen, and you might find it a little bit interesting. Check out this link that includes listings on the Special Features, etc. Enjoy! And finally, for horror fans, 'Freddy vs. Jason' has finally been released! The E Entertainment Channel has already had a half-hour 'Behind The Scenes' look at 'Freddy vs. Jason.' For more Horror news, check out Bloody-Disgusting.com. And at a very last note, only a few more days to go until Toho's thriller CrossFire is released on DVD in the U.S.

8/13/2003: 'Princess Blade' Opens with succes ADV Films has released 'The Princess Blade' on August 8th, with mixed reactions from reviewers. To promote 'Blade,' director Shinsuke Sato appeared at the San Diego Comic-Con. Posters, pictures, and more have been posted for the film. Check out Movies.com for links to other reviews. Just to note, 'The Princess Blade' has only opened in Los Angeles and New York City. A DVD release will most likely happen in October. 8/12/2003: 'Onmyoji: The Yin-Yang Master' released on DVD Pioneer Entertainment released 'Onmyoji: The Yin-Yang Master' on DVD today. Make sure you order the DVD from Amazon.com today! Or else if you don't want to order from them, order from Anime Castle! 'Onmyoji' is a Toho produced film, and has recently had a theatrical run in selected theaters. For more information on the film, I suggest you look at the Toho Kingdom's film page. 8/11/2003: New Pictures from 'Godzilla x Mothra x MechaGodzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.' Thai-Toku has updated with new pictures of a Godzilla and Mothra battle, scanned from the magazine, Newtype The Live. Check out the mentioned pictures here. Boy, this film is getting better and better. I'm getting excited! Also, to discuss the point of the recent Kameba picture that has been released by a Hyper Hobby magazine reporter, it is a no brainer that the lego-like small figures that are stationed around Kameba's dead body will later be taken out, and replaced with CGI. Norman England, who writers articles for Fangoria magazine, will be keeping Internet sites updated with news on the upcoming film. 8/13/2003: Alpha Video and Monster DVDs Webmaster Andrew Simon has recently had a e-mail conversation with Alpha Video manager Steve Kaplan. I was pretty anxious to hear what Steve had to say about the rumors of future releases of two favorite kaiju eiga films 'Yongary, Monster From the Deep' and 'The X From Outer Space.' Apparently, the idea of releasing The X From Outer Space came from a request of a fan. Steve has been hard to work finding a way to release the film "from a legal standpoint ever since." As for the release of Yongary, Steve writers the following: "I am anxious to issue many of the titles you mentioned. But, I don't know how these rumors get started unless it was in email conversation with another fan who has consistantly asked me about these titles. I have been working on Yongary, it is true, but I have NEVER been able to find a decent print of the film so I am still on first base." Reported a while back, it was rumored that the film Zontar, The Thing from Venus was to be released. Steve has responded to this issue as well: "ZONTAR THE THING FROM VENUS has an underlying rights issue. The original screenplay for IT CONQUERED THE WORLD has had its' copyright renewed (probably as a way to protect the rights of ZONTAR). FRIGHT NIGHT will be re-issued." In closing, it seems that Yongary just MIGHT get some sort of DVD release before Christmas. At this point of time, kaiju eiga fans just need to wait until September 19th for Daiei's Warning From Space to reach DVD shelves. On a final note, Steve Kaplan closes: "Right now both projects are in a very nebulos state and I can't be more specific until I really know what I am dealing with." Finally, ADV Films has released a weird looking cover art for their September DVD release of Orochi, The Eight Headed Dragon (a.k.a. Yamato Takeru). Click here for the picture, and click here for the product page. And don't forget on September 9, ADV Films will be releasing the final DVD to their Yokai Monsters trilogy collection. Click here for the product page. 8/6/2003: 'Tokyo Monsters.com' opens! It has finally happened. James Ballard, the multimedia freak, has finally published his website Tokyo Monsters to the net! Many may know of the failed attempt of Gamera.co.uk, which was finally closed down by the hosting comapyn, threatning to tell Toho about the large use of multimedia and copyrighted material. James Ballard has now created Tokyo Monsters, a site that covers Godzilla and Gamera films, and occasionaly films like CrossFire. The site has a small amount of reviews at the moment, but it will gradually turn better and better. I gurantte that! 8/5/2003: Region 3 VCD and DVD 'GxMG' ready for ordering! Godzilla x MechaGodzilla is now avaliable on Region 3 DVD and VCD. A VCD is a Video Compact Disk, and a DVD is a Digital Video Disk, for those few people who do not know what they stand for. Poker Industries and HK Flix have the DVD and VCD ready and able to order now. You can also find Region O DVDs on Ebay, as well as the VCD and DVD. But I would suggest buying them from a preffesional website. The ones popping up on Ebay may be copies or fakes. Check out this cover scan from Asian DVD Guide. 8/1/2003: Ring sequels underway The next two years will be seeing a theatrical release of an Americanized version of The Ring 2, and this year Artsmagic will be releasing the Ringu sequel Rasen on DVD. As for the American version of The Ring 2, it will be a completly new script,, with most of the survivors turning back on board. Naomi Watts has confirmed that she will be starring in the next feature, which will be released on November 10, 2004. This site is maintained by Andrew Simon a.k.a. DemonLord. The name will someday change if I see fit. Please enjoy your time here. Credit: MaserCity , Rodan's Roost , Ringworld
