Economic Injustice:
Mark 12: 28-34 and Its Social Implications Past and Present

This senior year research paper completed under the watchful mind of Dr. Gene L. Green. I hope it will blossom into something way better. It is an attempt to answer what it really means to love God wholeheartedly and to see how it applies to one of the woefully under-researched and understood parts topics in evangelical Christendom.

Option Pricing Using Arbitrage and Stochastic Calculus
This is a primer on financial mathematics written with Dr. Paul Isihara (Wheaton College), Mike Izatt,  and Enoch Hill (Allstate Insurance). Those wondering what finance is a little about can find this paper useful. However, it assumes a prior knowledge of calculus and probability.

The Tower of Hanoi
This paper was written as part of my sophomore Discrete Mathematics class, taught by Dr. Paul Isihara. It is an unproven solution to the optimal algorithm to playing the Tower of Hanoi game. Can you prove this optimal solution?

Vida
The goal of this painting is to convey a feeling of natural life. Green is the color of life, and within its shades are other vibrant color, conveying other sensations.

Moonlight
We find ourselves in middle of dark storms, but in the middle of such difficulties there always is hope. Within that hope is beauty mysterious, but yet undeniable.

Aguascalientes
The photographer chopped off a top portion of the painting. Oh well. Aguascalientes means "hot waters" in Spanish, and I wasn't sure what to say about it, except trying to capture the warmness of life rising through the coolness of its beginnings... ?

Mismatch
Okay, this one is confusing. The photo doesn't show the sides, which are colored strangely. Secondly, I was trying to convey desperation. Yet, the vibrant colors used declare anything but desperation (I should've used duller colors). Thus, there is a mismatch that occurs in the execution and perception in the painting.
                                                Poetry
A Walk in Yellowstone
If I stayed as a biology major, I would've done my research at Yellowstone National Park. Never been there though, except through pictures. The underlying message should be painfully obvious.

Faraway Star
I used to be fascinated with astronomy until I discovered that you need to know a lot of physics.

Java
I hate Java programming, can I say that first? This is the first poem I ever wrote, and needless to say, I had no idea what Java really is.

Stars in the Night Sky
During my middle school years, I developed a huge fascination for the Mayan civilization. Their penchant for using mathematics as an instrument in their regular worship of their gods astounded me. Now, it is their mathematical accuracy that does.

The Red Road
Maybe it could refer to Mao's March through the countryside during the Communist Revolution.

The River in the Forest
I never lost the mystique of the forest. There still remains a mystical quality to them. Maybe that's because of the Celtic/New Age music I've been listening to.

We
I wrote all these poems pre-senior year of high school. This one was unexpectedly Hauerwassian.
                            Digital Artwork
All artwork was done using Corel's Bryce 5.0, a very simple, easy to use, 3D art rendering tool.

I Sing The Mighty Power of God

I admit I'm not nowhere near good when it comes to the visual arts, but here is an attempt to visualize an abstract form of divine power.

Slope of Life
Straight hyperplanes have always fascinated me for some strange reason.

Verdant Cross
Here is an experiment on lighting. The darkness on the cross fringed by a yellow border is intentional... I think.

Sunlight On The World
Here is an experiment on "sun shadows" and water reflections. I found the colors of the horizon to be quite interesting.
