A Plethora of Michelle Articles

*From Teen People* Taking the Stage The Dawson's Creek resident made her professional stage debut as a virgin offered as payment to a murderer in the off-Broadway hit Killer Joe, which focuses on a dysfunctional family living in a Texas trailer park. One critic applauded Michelle's protrayal of Dottie as "one of the most daring and magnetic in town" and not just because she goes the full monty in an emotional nude scene. (What would Dawson say?) *From People Magazine* Copy At Your Own Risk "It doesn't really feel like stardom, it just feels like life," says Michelle Williams, who has risen to fame as torrid teen Jennifer Lindley on the WB drama Dawson's Creek. The actress, who costars with Kristen Dunst in the political comedy Dick, due August 4, is a reluctant role model. "It's strange to be 18 and looked up to by kids younger than me or my own age," she says. "I am still young and screwing up. I don't have it all figured out." Although she has missed out on such normal high school rites of passage, she doesn't have any regrets. "I always figured that I will live vicariously through some character," says Williams, who soon will return to doing just that on the third season of Dawson's Creek. "I have fun wallowing in the misery of it all." *From Seventeen Magazine* DICK's costume designer, Deborah Everton, tells you how to break into the wardrobe business. SO DEBORAH... Q. Where did you find the awesome '70's clothing for Dick? Is it all vintage? ~Susan A. First I studied lots of Seventeen magazines from that decade. The wardrobe for Michelle Williams' and Kirsten Dunst's characters came from a number of sources: from dead stock (never-worn vintage clothing) to outfits I had designed and created from scratch, like the colorful rainwear and flag-printed outfits. The only brand-new item in the film was the girls' tights, which I dyed match their clothing. Q. Did Kirsten and Michelle like wearing the crazy, colorful clothing? A. Kirsten was already into collecting '70s clothing so she loved the stuff. Michelle initally thought the outfits were too childish and goofy, but she grew to love them.
