Verse 14 in many translations says that this was God's son that was sent down... His one and only. (in the KJV "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.")

What do these verses mean?

Ok, well, remember "the Word" from verse 1.. it says that he was with God, and he WAS God.

In Verse 14, John says that the Word came down to earth,

so... The Word came down, that means that God came down right, remember that in verse 1, it states that the Word was God?

Ok, so yes, God came down as flesh, from the Father... What????

That is exactly what it says, God set a part of him aside, which was the Word, but still a part of God, and this part that he set apart was sent to earth as flesh, as His One and Only Son, who is?.?.?

Correct, this is Jesus, the One and Only of God is Jesus.

In Verse 18 it says that "no one has seen God, but the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known." ... who is this talking about? (did you catch the "one and only"?... well if you did, then you got it it correct, this is Jesus that he is talking about as well)

So, from these verses, we know 3 things...
1. God is the Word, and the Word is God.
2. Jesus is "the Word" (also known as the "one and only")
3. So, because God is the Word, and the Word is Jesus, Jesus is God.

Further exploration into this subject where Jesus was accused of blasphemy by the pharisees is when he decided to heal a parylitic (in Luke 5:23) and tell him that his sins were forgiven.  The pharisees were correct in what they said, because only God can forgive sins.  But, if Jesus is God, and he forgives someones sins, then he is not blaspheming God, because he is God.  Understand?

Good

Ok, and now on to the Holy Spirit being God as well.  You may still not agree with anything that I have shown you up to this point... but hey, I DON'T CARE.

Lets look at 1 Corinthians 2:11

It says that "For who among men knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God."

So, this verse is stating that nobody knows what you are thinking but your spirit.  Just as no one knows what you are thinking but you, and your spirit, no one knows what God is thinking but his spirit.

Is your spirit a different part of you?
Yes.
But, is your spirit you?

Yes, your spirit is you as well, though it is not as the traditional sense of "me" because your spirit is not something tangible (which means that you cannot see or touch it) but it does exist (we know that it does because the Word says that it does in 1 Thessalonians 5:12 "May the God who gives us peace make you holy in every way and keep your whole being---spirit, soul, and body---free from every fault at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." (GNB))

Ok, so we need one more verse to tie all of this together because either of these 2 verses will not stand by itself.
