Christine made all of the AARS volunteers aware of the real agenda of the CT DOA and her altercations with Richard Gregan. As a result she inadvertently empowered these evil entities to form a coalition against all the good Christine and AARS had and would every be able to do for the animals again.
Christine was forced to dismiss the volunteers from the organization because they were CAUGHT STEALING MONEY, supplies belonging to AARS and Christine (cages, carriers, food, etc.), putting the animals in danger, violating state laws and pet shop policies, and AARS rules to say the least. They solicited funds in the name of a charitable organization (AARS) which they pocketed and sought out kittens to sell for their own profit (to labs perhaps?). They ADMITTED to KEEPING AARS ADOPTION FEES!! Despite the plentiful supply of homeless kittens locally, they scoured the state, representing themselves as AARS (but only giving out their personal contact numbers), snatching up countless numbers of helpless kittens to be sold to the highest bidder for money, goods, and services, not for the charity intended, but for their own personal gain.
Christine's biggest mistake was not firing and pressing charges against these women immediately. Her policy was to give anyone a second chance (even criminals and liars) if they expressed a desire to help animals, for if these unsavory individuals were left to their own devices, the animals would not stand a chance! Furthermore, tolerance, understanding, communication, diversity, and encouragement made up the foundation of AARS.
As retaliation, these individuals made ludicrous claims that Christine was neglecting cats they had never seen nor had any knowledge about. Christine is diligently fighting these charges in both civil and criminal court, and is determined to put an end to this blatant abuse of government power by the CT Department of Agriculture, as well as attorney general Blumenthal and the governor's office.
