I was urged to make a web site and make our plea. I am not one that is able to ask for help but I know I must now for the sake of my son. This is not a joke, or some sick way to get people's money. We are a real family with real needs that can not do it on our own. My request is for just one dollar per person, I know that if we could get 20,000 people to donate one dollar we could get our van that we need in order to take my son places. He is wheelchair bound and we can not even get approved for a power wheelchair until we get a van. Is that fair? Not but that is how the system works. We are also in need of some medical equipment, for starters a nebulizer that is portable. It costs 350 dollars but the insurance wont cover it because it is considered to be fancy because it is portable. We need one that is able to go in the car with him. to school with him, and one that will be quite. Also in need is a pediatric Ex 'n Flex. What this machine does is give my son the range of motion that he would be normally getting if he could walk. This aids in lots of things, better respritory function, bowel function, it will reduce the contractors in his hips and his knees. And it will help strengthen muscles that he has that he would not be moving with out this.
