Under The Bridge
Jesus "As much as you have done it to the least of these..."

I am under a bridge and I can't cross over
Am resigned to the fact I could always be here

Like you I once had job and prestige
Before I took refuge under a bridge
From those who plunder and murder
Dear God deliver and help me recover

Hey you, help me make it to the other side
Where you and yours comfortably abide
Cozying up by the fireside, while I am outside
Looking for a soft spot, a bed
Under a metallic bridge cold and hard

When you want to splurge, think of me instead
It might cut into your star bucks
But it's a small sacrifice
That brings eternal tidings
Among its many rewards
Surly you can spare the funds
And let me get a little hope
So that I can cope
In my home under the bridge

Life under a bridge
