Ebenezer Scrooge Circa The Twenty-First Century Ebenezer Scrooge Circa The Twenty-First Century

'Tis the season for sycophants and idiots
To come out of the woodwork and masquerade as angels and geniuses
They sit in their pulpits and preach loudly
About why the holidays ain't gonna be happy
If you don't have a Merry Fucking Christmas, Mr. Shintoist
And hey there Miss "I Make All My Gifts,"
Help prop up our stagnant economy by allowing
Our beloved industrial complex to gorge on
A Christian themed spending orgy
If you don't you might be some kind of pinko commie
And the day will soon be upon us when warhawks
Are temporary converted to carolers calling for peace on Earth
Seemingly capitulating to the teaching of Jesus
Only to tell the world the next day that what they said
Was merely a clever euphemism for
"There will be peace on Earth once we slay all those who oppose us"
'Tis the season they say
The season to compose a fitting eulogy to the human race
A fragmented species of hedonistic morons
Who dance in the meaningless parade of overindulgence
