This is the story of a young boy
Standing in the corner with another broken heart
Wearing the magnificent dunce cap awarded to the best
He stares at the floor, full well knowing what he has become
The exact thing that he fucking hates
But then he stood ready to bring it all down
Poised to lasso the stars and pull them to Earth
And then he'd gift wrap them in neat little packages
Filled with love and hate
Another gift template that means nothing
A wonderful nightmare that will never stop
Another dream best left to be forgotten
Time passes by and he sees there's a void
A void he filled with shallow lies and fabricated tragedy
He knows she won't come back now
And he knows there's no turning back
From the wonderful nightmare
A half-assed love story
A wonderful nightmare repeating yet again
Fading out in waves of consciousness
This wonderful nightmare still plays
And he knows that he never wants to wake up from it
Because then he would have to live with the pain of knowing
That there never was another to share his dreams with
It was just a figment of his imagination
So if she was a part of his vexing dreamscape
He would have to stay asleep
Asleep to live through this wonderful nightmare
The one known as life
