Chapter 06
Chapter 6 --- Renkon's Story Renkon didn't come out of his room till early morning. Since he hadn't opened the door I ended sleeping on the couch thingy. I wasn't awake, but I heard him leave, him growling the entire way I didn't bother much to wonder why he was so upset about the argument with Shae, but I still wanted my little questions answered. The day had gone by slowly till Renkon came back. I could tell he went through some type of training session today because his clothes were all ripped in various places. He first went to change, thankfully having a short shower too, then came into the kitchen and nosed around to see what I was trying to make. This time it was a sleepy cake, a cake with sleeping pills added to the batter. >:] As usual he took the cake, ate it, and went off to the main room to his weird computer thing. I grinned slyly and procced to make my move to get my questions answered. "What do you want, woman?" he snarled at me as I came into the room. I came over by his desk and sat in the chair next to it. He looked at me strangely but continued to frown at me. "I want you to answer a few questions for me," I said simply. He snorted, almost sounding like he was laughing at the idea of him answering anything from me or the he had something up his nose, I think it was the latter. "Oh? And what are these questions?" That was a first, he, Mr. Mighty Renkon, actually agreeing to answer questions. Maybe I should put more sleep pills in the foods that he steals. "Well, the first one is wellhow should I put this? You" "Wha-?" he said in confusion, one of his eyebrows arched. "What I mean is, tell me a bit more about yourself." "Why would you want to know about me?" "Why not?" I looked at him straight in the eye, daring him to give me a reason not to have that answer. "Fine. I'll just say nice and short so I don't have to repeat myself ok," he said, I think those pills made him grumpy too. I nodded though, eager to finally get the question answered. He turned and looked away from me, took a breath and said it just how he said he would. "I am one of the heirs to the Saiyajin throne, though my brother Vegeta will take the crown. I have duti4es in the negating department, which is a job given to me by my father the king. There you happy?" My mouth was opened, my eyes were wide, I told myself not to but couldn't help but burst out in complete laughter. "What's your problem now?!" he shouted at me, obviously hurting that big ol' pride of his. "If you're trying to make an impression by saying something like that it's not going to work on me," I said, after gasping for air. He scowled. "But it's the truth, for what reason would I have to lie? And why the hell would I want to impress you?" "But that would make you a prince!" "Well, duh! Isn't that what I said I was!?" I stopped laughing. He was all red in the face, I guess that I really did it by not believing him. Damn, I'm going to regret that later on. "But then, what were you and Shae arguing about? Surly a 'prince' wouldn't allow some one to snap at them like she did." "For starters Shae is one of the high-ranking officers on Vegetasei, second it just an old disagreement that had happened to have been brought up." "Oh, and what was that?" "You talk too much." "Only when I have unanswered questions." "You don't need to know what we were arguing about," he said quietly as he stood up and left the room. I was taken back a minute. Renkon didn't sound like Renkon a minute ago. Did I really manage to hurt his feelings or was he just tired. Saiyajins are said to have no feelings, but I don't think it was the pills. It would take more then the amount of pills that I had put in there to get him tired so quickly. And I don't believe that a person can live with out feelings. I followed him to the bed room to where I surprisingly found him laying on face down, his head propped up on his crossed arms, his tail dangling off the bed. Some times I'd forget that Renkon was still a teen like myself and would do things that any other teen would do. I mean, what teen hasn't gone off to their room and pout on their bed, in a similar position as Renkon's. "Renkon?" "What do you want now?" he asked, annoyed. "I have one last question." He sighed and turned towards me, now leaning on his left side. "What? Will you again think I'm lying?" Oooo, I had really done it this time. I never thought that he would really be hurt by something I said. "No. I was wondering if...I had hurt your feelings..." He looked me strangely, his moth opening slightly. "humph. Silly woman, you forget the Saiyajin don't have feelings," he said, turning his head away. But he made it sound like he didn't believe what he had just said. I walked over to the bed, kneeled down to the floor, and crossed my arms over the bed and laid my own chin on them. "Hate to break it to you Renkon but...I grew up believing that someone could not have feelings and that means you too. Not saying your lying its just that I think you have feelings and just try to hide them many times." He stared at me, his black eyes transfixed on to my face. I looked back at him, my blue ones meeting his. "You're weird." "I know. I know."
